Application in agriculture

All cultures are required for normal development of certain conditions, one of which is the quality of soil, which is the process of cultivation. Soil mixture should be well permeable to air and water, which is important for proper development of plants.


Anyone who even once tried to grow horticultural and ornamental culture at home, in the open field or in greenhouses, faced with the problem of packing and hardening of soil, which entails the restriction of access to air and moisture to the root system, as a consequence, the plant develops slowly and usually grows old and dies.


Also flowers and gardeners faced with the decay of the roots of plants from the overflow and washout of useful substances from the soil using different fertilizers and additives.


To avoid all these unpleasant factors and achieve the most effective non-replaceable ground mixtures, we recommend adding a small amount of vermiculite - the mineral, which is on long-term observations quite effectively creates a favorable microclimate for the development of root systems and plants in general.


Vermiculite - is ecologically clean mineral from the group hydro micas, which is formed in the earth's kore.Posle treatment at 800-1000 ºС it turns into a loose scaly material. Due to the contents of oxides of trace elements such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, aluminum, iron, silicon - vermiculite is an effective biostimulant plant growth. With its high sorption and aeration properties, vermiculite is an excellent regulator of the air-humidity conditions, positively influencing the development of the root system.


Vermiculite has a high rate of water absorption - 400% (100 gr vermiculite absorbs 400 ml of water). It easily absorbs moisture and is also easily gives it the plant, creating an optimal moist environment for the supply of roots.


Vermiculite - Highly porous mineral, which has between scales, is the air. This structure allows to achieve the necessary aeration of the substrate properties, in which the land will not be compressed, does not form a crust on its surface, it remains loose.

Application of vermiculite, to grow any crops, greatly accelerates not only the germination of seeds, but their further development. Initially, the seeds germinated culture mixed with moist vermiculite brand SUPERFINE fr.1, packaged in plastic bags, placed in a warm place until their germination.


Sow germinated seeds in a pot of gruntosmesyu, which consists of 1 part vermiculite brand FINE and 2 parts soil. Properly cooked gruntosmes will quickly climb seedlings, protect it from the root and stem rot (blackleg).


To dive used gruntosmes composed of 1 part vermiculite brand FINE fr.2 and 2-3 parts soil. All mixed thoroughly and is spread on the cups. When planting seedlings in open ground for better rooting in each well, add 2-3 tablespoons of vermiculite brand FINE fr.2 or MEDIUM fr. 4. This introduction of vermiculite will help maintain a constant humidity near the root system and facilitate the care of plants.

Before sowing seeds in open ground in a flower bed along the length of paid vermiculite grade 2 or SUPERFINE fr.1 and MEDIUM fr. 4 (50:50), the rate of 1 tablespoon of 10 cm.

The most effective use of vermiculite in combination with complex mineral fertilizers (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in a ratio of 1:1:1). Due to its porous structure of vermiculite granules immediately absorb moisture and fertilizer, give them up gradually, creating favorable conditions for feeding the root system. Currently, vermiculite is very successfully used in greenhouses. It is used by adding a SOIL MIXTURE to maintain optimal air humidity conditions. For this purpose, using vermiculite grade 2 or FINE MEDIUM fr. 4.


As shown by detailed studies of the properties of the substrates of peat, vermiculite, perlite, zeolite and their mixtures - the best water-air regime was a peat and vermiculite, and mixtures of equal parts of peat moss with vermiculite and peat moss with perlite. These substrates were characterized by high moisture capacity and the lowest volume weight.


Substrate, consisting of vermiculite, a positive effect on the number of roots of the first order, their length and volume of the root system. It should be noted that the addition of vermiculite to 50% in the peat mass of moisture, even in drought conditions, remains almost constant. Many greenhouses are working on Dutch technology. In its technology they use vermiculite grade 1 or SUPERFINE FINE fr.2 as a powder, after the introduction of seeds in the soil.


Effectively affects the introduction of vermiculite to make compost. It uses the bedding manure, chicken manure, peat, chopped straw and stalks of different cultures, except for the tops of potatoes, tomatoes and cucumbers. For every hundredweight organic mixture is added 3.4 bucket vermiculite grade 2 or FINE MEDIUM - 4.

Tips for use:


•The propagation by cuttings, a substrate of vermiculite brand FINE-2 and peat in a 1:1 ratio.Reaction medium of peat weak acidic (pH-5, 6), and vermiculite in a neutral or weakly alkaline (pH - 6,8-7), in accordance with the results of rooting cuttings is favorable for most crops. The root system of cutting in these conditions formed more developed. The most effective substrate is saturated with so-called "California" a mixture, or any other mineral fertilizers. Effect of such a mixture, primarily affects the number of zeros of the first order, their length and volume, as the timing of awakening of the kidneys. Characteristic that the positive effect of mineral mixtures in the substrate continues to affect the location of the landing and take root even in the second year.


•For better rooting of seedlings of fruit, berry and ornamental crops is recommended to use vermiculite brand MEDIUM-4, or LARGE-4-8 (1:1). Rule making - 30% of the volume wells.


•To mulch tree trunks of fruit trees using vermiculite brand LARGE-8, or, and MEDIUM-8-4 (1:1).Consumption is 6-8 liters per 1 m², under berry bushes 3-5 l per 1 sq. m., under the flower bushes 2-3 liters per 1 sq.m. For mulch to dig the soil around the root system of a tree or shrub, sprinkle vermiculite and sealed it in the ground.


•When growing ornamental lawns and lawns before sowing introduced 4.5 liters per 1 kv.m.vermiculite brand FINE 2. This supplement will help the seeds germinate faster and easier your job of courting cover.


•Vermiculite is slightly hygroscopic: humidity 40-60% of its moisture content is 6-8%, with 100% - no more than 10-11%. Moreover, vermiculite has a high adsorption capacity in relation to various products of gas exchange in fruits.

These features allow the use of vermiculite for storage of vegetables, fruits and bulbs. This decreases the level of waste arising in the case of decay, retard growth in the tubers stored taste and nutritive value of vegetables and fruits.


Sprinkling the fruit with the packing and bulk storage can save the crop, ensuring himself a long time, delicious, healthy and useful products.


Vegetables or fruits are placed in boxes in layers, shifting each row of fruit with a layer of expanded vermiculite, whose thickness, depending on the size of fruit varies from 2 to 5 cm.


In the second year used vermiculite can be applied after prozharivaniya or simply to make it in the spring to the ground (without prozharivaniya).
